Editorial Reviews
Developed by a Chiropractor Dr. Paul M. Tullio, D.C. developed China-Gel as an herbal, greaseless therapeutic gel that incorporates modern technology with the ancient pain relieving concepts of Chinese medicine. China-Gel was developed in an environment saturated in chiropractic philosophy. The reason China-Gel is so effective is that, like chiropractic, it helps to facilitate the body's natural ability to heal itself. How it Works China-Gel works by stimulating the body's endorphin response to pain and reducing the pain producing "P-factor" in muscle tissue, thereby lessening pain and discomfort and enhancing healing. The pain-relieving actions of the ingredients are confirmed in herbal literature and scientific research papers. Transmission Gel/Pain Reliever Use China-Gel as an ultrasound transmission gel that does not require mixing with other gels or lotions. Your patients will notice the difference before they leave the treatment table. Suggested Uses Include Muscle strain, joint pain, arthritis, tendinitis, muscle cramps, sports injuries, bursitis, rheumatism, fibromyalgia, and other musculo-skeletal pain disorders.

Now I gave this review a 3 simply because it's a great topical pain killer but definitely not a solution to pain - more of leisurely pleasure than an actual pain killer.
The gel goes on somewhat thick and oily, and takes a bit to rub it in. Once it's there though, it seems to be good for about a half hour or more until it starts to subside and wear off. During the "active" stage though, it feels to me to have a sort of "pins and needles" touch (similar to an arm or leg that's "asleep").
Good stuff for the occasional relaxation, or perhaps recreational use, but I don't think I'd recommend this for the serious pain relief.
