    China-Gel-- A Night-Time Soothing Relief - Hetta "Hurricane Het on Aug 30, 2008

    I've been using this gel for a few years and find it especially comforting in the evenings before bedtime. I personally think it's a good remedy for sore muscles and arthritis. I have a disk problem that gives me quite a bit of discomfort during the night-time hours, and I like this product for muscle soreness and overall general discomfort related to back pain. An added bonus is that an 8oz jar lasts a long time!

    I've had a mild chronic back pain accompanied by the occasional neck and shoulder stress for many years now. After suffering an uncomfortable flight from Seattle to D.C. last May, the friend we were staying with slapped some of this China-gel on my neck and back. In the heat of the moment, I turned to the computer and ordered some!

    Now I gave this review a 3 simply because it's a great topical pain killer but definitely not a solution to pain - more of leisurely pleasure than an actual pain killer.

    The gel goes on somewhat thick and oily, and takes a bit to rub it in. Once it's there though, it seems to be good for about a half hour or more until it starts to subside and wear off. During the "active" stage though, it feels to me to have a sort of "pins and needles" touch (similar to an arm or leg that's "asleep").

    Good stuff for the occasional relaxation, or perhaps recreational use, but I don't think I'd recommend this for the serious pain relief.

    A freind informed me of this Gel and I have terrible arthritis. It worked for awhile, but as all things the body got used to it and became non-effective. Wife still uses it with her minor aches. For the price, it was too much.

    I just love this stuff!! Has a hint of lavender in it and works much better than any plain old Icy Hot. It is comparable with Bio Freeze, but I like the smell of China Gel better.

    I teach Pilates and take a lot of yoga classes. Because I'm not as young as I used to be, I get more aches and pains nowadays. I wanted to use something other than a pain pill, and this stuff works better than anything else I have tried. The relief lasts MUCH longer than with other products, and the scent fades quickly. And you need only apply a small amount, so it lasts for a long time. Definitely worth the money!

    This stuff is incredible! My mother suffers from fibromyalgia, My sister and I were unfortunately in a very bad car accident leaving us both with severe neck pain. When we have a bad day we lather this on our necks, collar bone and up into our hair line, then we take a soft towel wrap it around (to hold the heat in) and go to bed. Typically we wake up feeling over 70% better. This does not compare to any product out there, because this product LAST's and truly helps.

    I was given a sample of China Gel and after using it was sold. I have bursitis in my hip and other medical issues and China Gel really helps. It takes only a little and the odor is not so strong that you smell it for hours. I have tried other topical pain gels but this one works best for me.

    My yoga teacher used to put it on our necks during meditation. This stuff is awesome! It causes a deep escalating warming sensation that is so relaxing. It's not oily. After it wears off you can't tell it was there, no residue. I also have very very hypo-alleogetic skin and it causes me no issues. Great for neck aches and long nights of studying with your head down in your book.

    This product works great on those aches and pains. Unlike Tiger Balm, it smells initially when applied, but the odor leaves in a few minutes. When rubbed in it is not greasy, nor does it stain. This is a wonderful product that does bring relief.

    I teach a yoga class and use the china gel during savasana. My students LOVE it. However, when I ordered the gel most recently, I was told it would be at my house on the 17th of May. On the 17th, I received an e-mail saying it had not yet shipped. A couple days later I was told the product shipped and shortly thereafter it was at my house. It would have been nice if I would have been told that it was going to be delayed before the day it was supposed to arrive.
